no, not OUR Bucs...

Two year deal.

I am guessing he will end up their starter.

Nice to have Charlie Batch as fall back, along with the young and talented Dennis Dixon.

I can't believe we let him get away. I'm waiting to see what the offer from the STEELERS was and what the offer from the Bucs was. I am pretty sure though he will be there starter or he wouldn't have signed with him. He said when he left the Jaguars that he didn't like playing in the heat so i dont get why Florida isn't the same thing to him.

I just found out the numbers on the contract offers from the STEELERS and the Bucs.

The STEELERS offered Leftwich a 2-year $1.75 million deal.(which they should have been embarrassed to do)
and the Bucs signed him on a 2-year $7.50 million deal.

If the Bucs had to up it that much i am guessing that the STEELERS weren't even in second. I bet the Redskins had a decent offer on the table for him also.

Let a team like Tampa over pay. Nothing embarrasing about the Steelers offer. Look at the list of FA QBs still out there. Supply/Demand says the Steelers were right... there are plenty of QBs besides Batch still available

Very different situations there. The Steelers only wanted him for a backup, and were only willing to pay that much.

Tampa wants him to compete for the starting job. And I think he still could be a good one. After what he showed with us, I figured this would happen.

Yeah i think he will be the starter until he gets hurt about week 3. I just don't want to see the STEELERS get stuck with Batch as their backup.

I wondered if the Lions would have interest in Leftwich.

I love Charlie Batch by the way! I still have his # 10 home Lions jersey.

As far as i know and as far as it has been reported it was just the STEELERS, Redskins, Bucs, and the Bears before they got Cutler.
