I know this board has people who like him and people who don't. But this is the third person I have heard these types of stories from (1 personally). Two sides to every story, too. Judge for yourself

I'm sure he can be a real asshole to work for. I cancelled my subscription because I wasn't going to the web site anymore.

Yep, following that. Also, if you go and check out John Perrotto's thread, he has a number of posts about this same thing. Many associates and peers chipping in there. Can't say I'm too surprised one way or the other. I can see both sides. Owning a young, small business can make you an ass for sure, but reading Katie's post, it is filled with a lot of the entitlement language so often used today by millennials.

Meh, I do know members of this board had to cover for him a few years ago when at the PG for the Littlefield sign in TRS.

Also a lot of "I'm young and naive" language in Katie's post.

As always, it'll be something in the middle. Lots of it sounds like workplace whining that happens now. But, lots sounds like him, too.

Not an easy undertaking, what he went and did. The concept is sound, but the execution is difficult.

I wonder if his business will be able to weather this storm.

1. What would DK have to do to 'wrong' his employees for their valid complaints to be considered more than 'whining'?
2. What person who is completely in the 'wrong' ever comes out and admits it? What human is likely to commit a terrible act, like treating subordinates or women like objects, and be like, "you got me! I confess to the deed and resign in disgrace!"???
3. What is the proper way to 'out' a toxic boss or leader? Are we humans simply supposed to 'suck it up' and be treated as less than human because someone is in a position of authority over us? Are leaders entitled to treat subordinates as they please because 'that's the cost of success'???

Well, one could start at complaining about 1099 employees bitching about their hotel room rates. Like they "Deserve" something.

But then, I walked both ways uphill 5 miles to work in the snow, so...

If you read the Deadspin article you'd know it was more than that.

I did, and I note it as well. I know DK well enough to know much of this is plausible and would not be out of character. Except the sex stuff. I'm not touching that with a ten foot pole.

Which is precisely why the problem persists.

Meaning, I have no idea how true or not, it is. Given past relations with him, and having met Dali on occasion, I find them hard to believe. But, what do I know?

That is why I'm not touching it.
