Pittsburgh goes onto the elite 8 to face Villanova on Saturday.Pitt lost to Villanova on January 28th 67-57 in Philly where Nova plays. It is 2 months to the day that we lost. This is the furthest Pitt has ever made it already advancing to the elite 8.

Side note.In our board bracket competition i'm winning! :D

Will we ever win comfortably? It gets old. A win is a win though I suppose.

In 1974 when there was not 64 teams, Pitt won two games and was in the final 8.

They got the sweet 16 only monkey off their backs.

I'm glad Pitt won but they are not playing anywhere close to where they need to in order to win a championship. The Xavier game and ETSU games were ugly...but the bottom line is winning!

I hope they come out against Nova like the did against UConn because they know its a big game and its go time.We lost bad to Nova before.I think we come out to win this time and get to the final four.Duke didn't have a good inside presence like Nova and Pitt has so i think it is going to come down to how the big men play and not how the guards play. That is why i think the last 3 games have been close because they have been guard based games.UConn is a big man based team and we blew them out of the water twice.Plus Hasheem Tabeets is alot better than Dante Cunningham on his worst day.
