Most Recent Div II National Rankings

D2Football.com Top 25 Poll
September 15, 2015

Team Record is Now Last Week
1 Minnesota State 2-0 1
2 West Georgia 2-0 3
3 Ferris State 1-0 4
4 Pittsburg State 2-0 6
5 Northwest Missouri 2-0 7
6 Sioux Falls 2-0 9
7 Minnesota Duluth 1-1 10
8 Delta State 2-0 11
9 CSU-Pueblo 1-1 2
10 North Alabama 2-0 13
11 Valdosta State 2-0 14
12 Angelo State 2-0 12
13 Colorado Mines 2-0 15
14 Ohio Dominican 1-1 5
15 Ouachita Baptist 2-0 16
16 Grand Valley 2-0 21
17 Harding 2-0 20
18 Slippery Rock 2-0 23
19 Shepherd 2-0 24
20 Michigan Tech 2-0 22
21 Lenoir-Rhyne 1-1 8
22 Texas A&M-Commerce 1-1 17
23 Concord 1-1 25
24 Humboldt State 2-0 NR
25 Emporia State 2-0 NR

Slippery Rock remains as the only ranked PSAC team in the Top 25. It will probably be a while before any other PSAC team breaks into the Top 25, as a number of the normally ranked PSAC teams have already suffered losses.

PSAC Scores for Sept 19

Mercyhurst defeated Bloomsburg 20-14 in a game that saw two entirely different halves. MH led 20-0 at halftime, but scored no points in the second half and Bloom almost came back to win the game.

California rebounded from last week's loss to Bloom to knock off previously unbeaten Shippensburg by a score of 34-26.

East Stroudsburg took no prisoners trouncing Edinboro 56-12.

Gannon, continuing to pass late in the 4th quarter, also romped by defeating Kutztown 66-24.

Clarion had no trouble with Cheyney winning by a score of 59-6. No surprise here.

West Chester beat Seton Hill 48-38; but, evidently, Seton Hill got in a few licks by scoring 38 points.

IUP--as most expected--won over Lock haven 38-13.

Millersville plays SRU this evening. Kick-off is at 6:00 PM.

I'll have some game reports later on. Mercyhurst with a 10 game winning streak and Gannon both looking quite impressive. The PSAC West title may end up in Erie this year. I don't--at this time--know what to say about the PSAC East. Both Bloom and WCU are 1-2, while East Stroudsburg and Shippensburg are both 2-1. The first "big" encounter in the PSAC East sees Bloom meeting Shippensburg next weekend. In the PSAC West, Mercyhurst has IUP at home.

Latest SRU--Millersville score has "The Rock" leading 47--0 in the 3rd quarter. Another "no-surpriser". Incidentally, some of the nationally ranked teams in the Top 25 have lost or are losing as I type this. More on that in an hour or two.

The Slipppery Rock-Millersville final score was 75--0 in favor of SRU. Enough said! Now for some national results.

Unranked Ashland defeated #14 Ohio Dominican 27--24.

Southwestern Oklahoma outscored #15 Ouachita Baptist 58--38.

Unranked Washburn beat #4 Pittsburg State by a score of 28--21.

#6 Souix Falls won over #7 Minnesota Duluth 35--31

#3 Ferris state defeated #16 Grand Valley State 61--24

Husky where are ya?

The rankings come out today, I think.. as of last Monday I can remember the top three,
all with 5-0 records I assume.

1. Minnesota St.
2 West Georgia
3 Northwest Missouri St.

Ashland is surely in the top ten now as they are undefeated.

I need to explain my absence the last month. My wife and I were involved in a very serious automobile accident over in New Jersey on Friday, September 25th, and it has been a very slow recovery for both of us. We were both hospitalized for a number of days. Were it not for seat belts and airbags, neither one of us would have made it through. At this time, I simply don't have the energy or wherewithal to resume PSAC/ Div II coverage for this year. I hope to get back to it next year. Thanks for your understanding, Husky

Husky, very sorry.. only just read this today. Hope you and the wife are OK.
How are you getting along?

The undefeated champions Northwest Missouri State need replace their veteran QB.
Which teams are projected to compete for PSAC title in 2016?
