OFF-SEASON REPORT 1

Broncos released DLs Dewayne Robertson and John Engelberger, LBs Jamie Winborn and Niko Koutouvides, TE Nate Jackson, and SS Marquand Manuel.
Robertson's cap figure was $16M, a ridiculous amount for a league-average wave tackle with bum knees. The No. 4 overall pick in 2003, Robertson is 27 but may not have more than another season or two in him. The Broncos kept him on the roster last year despite failing every physical they put him through. Josh McDaniels is cleaning house with the other Shanahan-era holdovers.

Bengals franchise tag kicker Shayne Graham.

Vikings owner Zygi Wilf doesn't want Favre.

The city of Industry's planning commission has approved a proposal for a football stadium intended to lure an NFL team back to the Los Angeles area.

49ers say going after Michael Vick is possible.

Ravens cut CB Chris McAlister.

Falcons Tackle Todd Weiner Retires.

Giants place non-exclusive franchise tag on Brandon Jacobs.

Raiders will use franchise tag on Nnamdi Asomugha.

Bears OT's Ruben Brown and John Tait retire.

Raiders sign CB Chris Johnson to a 4 year Contract.

Jeff Reed charged w/ criminal mischief + disorderly conduct.

Lions will use franchise tag on kicker Jason Hanson.

Bears decide to cut ties with FS Mike Brown.

Bears cut WR Marty Booker.

Cardinals promote Bill Davis to defensive coordinator.

Eagles and Giants frontrunners to acquire Boldin.

Falcons to franchise Punter Michael Koenen.

Rams cut S Corey Chavous.

Saints cut WR David Patten.

Giants cut Sam Madison, Reuben Droughns and Sammy Knight.

Jaguars cut WR Jerry Porter and CB Drayton Florence.

Raiders claimed QB Bruce Gradkowski off waivers.

Texans cut RB Ahman Green and LB Morlon Greenwood.

Giants won't retain Pro-Bowl kicker John Carney.

I'm hoping to see that also.I would like to see the Steelers pick up either a free agent wide reciever or an offensive lineman so it takes a load off of what we have to draft.

Steelers kicker Jeff Reed pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after police said he damaged a paper towel dispenser and harassed employees at a Sheetz convenience store in New Alexandria early Sunday. The league fine will be around $80,000.(I still can't help but laugh about this, I can't imagine how embarrassingly ignorant he must feel every time he sees this in the media. Just imagine having to stand in front of a full court & a judge explaining why you went off about paper towels)

Bears officially announce Kyle Orton is the QB next season.

Cowboys safety Roy Williams will re-do contract to stay.

Vikings coach Childress says its a open QB competition(That means Brett Farve will soon be a Viking  )

Cheifs release QB Damon Huard and LB Donnie Edwards(this mean the Chiefs with the releases of just Edwards and Surtain that they have freed up $10.7 million in cap room today)

DT Shaun Rogers wants out of Cleveland. Here is a quote from his agent "Rogers has grown so disenchanted with the situation in Cleveland that he has asked the Browns not to pick up the $6 million option-bonus payment due to him next month, a source close to the defensive tackle said. Rogers would rather be released after one season with the Browns, despite still being owed another $15 million in guaranteed money. Some of Rogers' feelings stem back to two offseason incidents in which he believes Mangini disrespected him. The first time, Mangini walked into the Browns' training room and failed to say hello to Rogers. The next time, at a public charity function in which both men were in the green room, neither said hello to the other, and Mangini later said he didn't know Rogers was there".
