No. 2 qualified in the 1M, 3M and 3 M synchro with his partner for the World University Games in Kazan, Russia. He also placed 2nd in the invivdual 3M event but was not selected to go to Barcelona due to not making a minimum score in the event. Last year, USA Diving implemented a minimum score rule. He would have had to accumulate 1320 points in the three rounds and he came up 38 points short, so despite second place, he will not go to the World Championships in Barcelona. !@#$% rule...... :x :x :x :x :x He dove great and he and his synchro partner will do fine....

It get's better. A male diver in the platform competition today, came in second place. He was not added to the team because the accumulated degree of difficulty was not deemed high enough. They then placed the third place diver on the team because he met the minimum standards. I guess the total points scored for the event take a back seat to DD and minimum scores. You can now qualify for a meet by scoring less points than your competition..... :x :x :x :x :x
