Barry Bonds made no pretense of having desire to continue playing in Pittsburgh. Barry Bonds did not have a hour-long narcissistic TV show dedicated to his free agency choice. Barry Bonds was not a "home town" hero. Big difference between Bonds and LBJ.
You'd see the same anger in Minneapolis/St. Paul if Joe Mauer pulled that manuever up there and left to play for the Yankees.
