Only one spot remains! Who has the courage to challenge KING KONG CUTCH?

We got 10. If more people are interested, I could expand the league to 12. Let me know.

J_C ... if we expand to 12, then the rosters are going to be pretty tough to fill for $260, with CI, MI and 5 OF positions. Single-league competition usually involves 10 teams because of the relative scarcity of players.

If we go to 12 teams, Rod Barajas and Clint Barmes will be key contributors.

True. I'm leaning toward 10 unless somebody begs.

That said, I'm in a fantasy hockey league with 20 teams. Dustin Jeffrey is a key contributor on my team.

Thanks, my friend. On Bucfan's advice (and my own instincts), I'm going to keep the league to 10 for its inaugural season. You will be first on my list to join for 2013.

I've got no dog in this fight because I'm not playing, but if you don't have to make an agonizing decision concerning guys just like Barmes and Barajas (for example, choosing between a slew of second catchers based on which one would get less at bats, thereby doing less damage to your team batting average), you probably don't have enough teams in the league. If I remember correctly, the original Rotisserie League had 10 or 12 teams from a 14 team American League. I think you could do 12 out of a 16 team league pretty easily. Gives you a whole new perspective on the importance of good long relievers

But the original Rotisserie league did not require MI, CI, five outfielders and a utiliity player or categories like holds.

It required MI, CI, four outfielders and a utility guy. Not much different. A big difference in the categories, of course, but I don't think that really impacts the size of the league.

Anyway, have fun, guys. I'm trying to revive the old auction type league I used to have with my friends that ran from 1984 through 1993, but the interest doesn't seem to be there. Too bad, it would give us a reason to keep in closer touch.
