Beltran will play for the first time this season in Thursday's Mets' game. His knee is not 100%, or even 80% it seems, but he may provide some runs, HR's, RBI's and he has always had a solid OBP.

Meanwhile, Choo - one of my better offensive producers - may return before the end of the month, according to ESPN. Unfortunately, he injured his thumb and those injuries tend to steal power from the hitter. He was off to a great start this year. Sucks for me that he was hurt.

Looking for help by way of injured players returning to action. If Beltran can go 5 games per week, and hit some HR's and get on base, and Choo returns to even 80% of what he was producing before his injury, good times ahead ... good times.

If both struggle coming back from injury, Ryan Church, for some odd reason, is still available...

I just don't understand how the UPPMB League can leave a powerhouse contributor like that unclaimed. Seriously ... when I think of 5-category guys, I think Hanley, Rollins, Crawford and then Church.

Apparently so did John Russell.

Of course, Church's five dominant categories are K's, pop-outs, GIDP, runners LOB and K's looking.

Now if there was a category for manager brownie points, Church would be leading that one...
