Gentlemen-

The moment we have all been waiting for: the dispersal draft. Remember, you can draft players from the team rosters listed in RED on the spreadsheet you received. There is no time limit, but to keep things moving, if you just aren't participating for 12-24 hours, I will make a pick for you, based on who I feel is a fair pick (and I'll warn you, I'm real high on Brian Bixler having a breakout year, so you might not want to let that happen). The draft order was randomly determined, and is as follows:

1. NSMaster
2. Bucfan
3. JimY
4. PFinNL
5. Chris Anderson

The draft is NOT a snake, which means after Chris Anderson's pick, it goes back to NSMaster. 10 rounds.

For the league draft, Chris Anderson will have the 1st overall pick, going in reverse order from this for picks 1-5.

Ok, NSMaster- get it started....

Hey gents. If you still have BBF's original email, let's use that to contact each other after our picks. It will help to move things along. If you need mine again you can use either chekobliss@yahoo.com or chris.anderson@terex.com.

You guys should just agree to meet online at a set time and get this over with all at once. At this rate we may have rosters by the All-star break.

[Not that the draft is really slow, but ....]

Bucfan's second pick - left-handed starting pitcher, Babe Ruth.

LOL Bucfan, classic DL move, I can see the press conference now - "We feel the Babe has a good shot to help us as a solid MLB starter as he is nearly major league ready. He's an advanced pitcher with a good feel for 'how to pitch', besides we don't need a power hitter in RF because we have Ryan Church."

Seriously, is there much difference between JVB's arm and Ruth's arm (I mean in 2010, whatever shape its in) ?

Alright...almost 48 hours in and we only have 2 picks in!!! We need to find a way to move this along. There is a 9 hour time difference between my time zone and Amsterdam (I am assuming Hugo's time zone in the Netherlands is the same country wide.) If we get together at 2pm Eastern Time (11 am Pacific, 8 pm Amsterdam) we can work for an hour (10 rounds should go quickly) and finish this out this weekend. Would Sunday work for everyone? Am I being too pushy and should just shut the hell up and let this go at its own pace? Comments?

Yeah, we need to speed this up. This is not at all how I envisioned this going (imagine that, something I thought of is a failure- my wife wouldn't be surprised). I'd like to see this done by the end of the weekend. I don't know how to best achieve that.

Okay, I'm a moron. This whole time I've been trying to find some draft on the Yahoo Fantasy site at our league. I finally went back and read the email and realized it was here. So what do I do now? I am seriously sorry.

Okay I think I am up to speed. Again very sorry.
I've never even been to this section of the board and didn't know it existed.
So, finally,
Third pick is
Mark Texiera

Sunday is fine for me. Saturday evening would also be fine.
Now that I know where to go, I'll behave. I promise!

Good pick. He was the guy I was tempted to take over Mauer.
