I didnt know.what to make of the Buc's off-season acquisitions, but have to say I'm pleased with offense. As it stands, with seven games left to play, the Pirates are one game above .500. I entered the season hoping the Pirates would play plus .500 ball and that is very much within reach.

What could have been if the starting pitching had been as good as hoped... Don't really know what to look forward to next year.

If the bullpen could have been fixed sooner, the results would be a lot different.
Then add in Griffij and Cruz's injuries.
