Game Summary - Another cool night (for Florida) as the Marauders wrapped the 3 game series with the Hammerheads by losing 7-1 in front of 800+ fans. Starting pitcher #19 Jameson Taillon started strong and came out after 5 innings, replaced by #36 Casey Sadler. He had a rough night, walking several batters. He was eventually replaced by #17 Zack Foster who was not ready to return to Bradenton, from West Virginia, as he too had terrible pitching.

Images below - enjoy. Comments welcome.
Next Home game is Tuesday May 1st. 6 road games in a row starting tomorrow.

What have you been thinking of Alex Dickerson, LGM? He went hitless with a BB last night, but his good start has been a pleasant development in the minors thus far.

...I agree. I have been pleasantly surprised by him this season. We lost a lot of 2011 players as they moved up to Altoona. I had never heard of Dickerson before but he's been a pretty solid first baseman. I always compare these guys to the Major league players (Tampa Bay Rays) which I know if not fair, but the 'basics' should be the same for everyone and at times he doesn't go for the ball like I think he should - sometimes he just goes through the motion to stop a ball and it costs us some bases/runs at times. His hitting has been hot/cold - a few nights back he was lighting it up and like you noted, he went hitless the other night. Consistency is a key with anyone and more practice always helps that. Our team seems to get stronger in the 2nd half of the season so I tend to not pass too much judgement until after game # 70.
