Cutch caught stealing on a 3-0 pitch... Not sure if I agree with that decision, Andrew.

Yeah, I don't like running on 3-0 with a hitter like Neil up there. I mean, he's in the driver's seat- see what he can do.

Great, now former Pirates we dumped are hitting home runs off us.

Can't help but think that the expectation would have been for Walker to be taking a hack at a 3-0 pitch in the strike zone. Shouldn't Walker have been sitting dead red in a 3-0 count? He got a 92 mph fastball right down the middle and took it?

17 innings without a run with one runner to second base and zero walks.

Wow

It's not just the lack of hits. It's the lack of quality contact that is flipping pathetic.

Rolling over on outside pitches. Swinging at pitches above the strike zone. Swinging at pitches that would be ball four. JFC. They are making Alfredo Simon look like Clayton Kerahaw or Madison Bumgarner.

Pirates can never hit great pitching.

The few hard hit balls are right at defenders.

The inability to get to the Tigers 'pen is infuriating.

Love the great pitching, but hate to see it wasted.

Shane Greene and Alfredo Simon are not 'great' pitchers.

We couldn't have asked more of our pitching this series. We are certainly struggling at the plate, but the pitching has come through this series. Through six games, the Tigers had looked like a 21st Century Murderers Row, and five hits, one walk and one run through 8+ innings is pretty damn good.

Inside out and backwards here at Casa Jake.

Here's a thought. How about re-kindling some of that Jay-Hay magic?

I gave polanco a pass last season because he was a rookie. But he really needs to start producing. Our offense the past two nights has put me to sleep. Once again we expect cutch to bail us out every night. We've been shutout 3 times already in this young season.

We had issues last season scoring runs. Nothing has changed. Two wasted efforts by Burnett and liriano in consecutive nights. I think we left our bats in Bradenton.

How about the pirates starters this series? Outstanding staring pitching. Its hard to ask for more without getting to greedy.
