I'd like to think that the second time through the lineup will be markedly more productive.

And, after watching Cutch, Walker, Marte go weak pop-up, K and weak pop-up after Polanco singles and steals second, looks like I would be wrong. Three pretty lousy ABs after the equivalent of a lead-off double.

Lame half inning followed by a 3rd delay. Awesome.

Wow. Just sitting here on my computer, which does have pretty good resolution, I couldn't even tell that it was raining.

Jeff Brantley on the Reds broadcast said Bastardo balked during Cozart's at bat in the bottom of the 8th.

Which of our relievers hit 100 on the radar? Brantley said it was the first time an opposing pitcher hit triple digits at
Great American Ballpark. How is that possible??

Well . . . that's a crappy way to start the season. I'm officially bummed out. :(

Same as last year. We aren't going to win many when Cutch isn't hitting. Marte and Walker getting slow starts doesn't help much either.

Well, that was a disappointment.

Glad to be leaving Cincinnati behind us.

Jeff Brantley is the example of what a lab would produce by mixing the DNA from Rosanne Barr and a pterodactyl, and blending in dogshit and used chewing tobacco.

I despise that guy more than I can say.

"Country"?? I wish that country was anywhere other than the United States.

No worries.

Bucs often struggle at GABP.

Off to more friendly confines during the next series at... OH SH---!

Pirates have to learn to start beating teams in our division. We played poorly vs Milwaukee, Cincinnati and st.louis when it counted last year. And the cubs are suppossedly better?

Had we played better vs any of these teams last year, we would have won the division.

I just don't feel the pirates did much in the off season to upgrade this team in order to get to the next level. We have flipping Chris Stewart and tony sanchaz behind the plate? The verdict is out on Cervelli. Might as well have brought barojas back for christs sake! Pedro still can't play defense. He will be in the American league next season as a DH.

Marte still is undiscliplined and does stupid unfundamental things all the time. Now it's time for Polanco to start producing. He has strunken out with runners in scoring position and made a crucial error today. Locke and Morton you never know what you're going to get.

Really dissapointed in what I've seen so far. You can't get swept by the reds in your opening series. Wake up guys, spring training is over!

Is that striking out while being drunk??

Back in the days before I met married Mrs. Bucfan, I strunk out more than a few times. ;)

Oh well, I was hoping to avoid another season of bitch, bitch, bitch, but here you are again.
