I keep getting really excited that it's Opening Day, but then I remember that Cueto is pitching. The Pirates are hitting .169 against Cueto in the last FIVE SEASONS. I guess 161-1 is acceptable though.

Here we go, strap up everybody!

First observation of the regular season: After watching Corey Hart jog out for the introductions, I hope to god that they don't ever have to use him in the outfield this year.

We haven't caught a break all year. Damn.

Only 1 hit through 2 innings for Bucs, and the rain is falling in Cincy.

Frankie can't find the strike zone. Two walks in 2nd inning.

As Marte, Mercer and Cutch were converging on that Phillips popup, the the entirety of a nightmare season passed before my eyes.

J-Hay gets a two-bagger. But Polanco strands him.

Stupid mistakes killed the 2014 Bucs... A lead off walk to Cueto and a balk to bring home the Reds' first run shows that this year won't be different.

These Pepto Bismol ads on MLB TV need to turn the volume way down.

Thought maybe that rain delay would get Cueto out of the game. No such luck.

So far, I like Cervelli's "fight" at the plate.

Would love for Cueto to make one mistake in that bandbox of a park.

For some reason Kevin Gregg is not only on the Reds but also going to pitch meaningful innings for them.

Having the best player in the National League comes in handy sometimes.

If it hadn't rained and was damp, Lambo probably deposits that ball over the Centerfield wall.

So much for one of our strengths for Game 1.
