The #1 star isn't as clear cut as you think....

Pedro, 4-5, 2B, 2 HR, 4 RBI
JMac, 7 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 6 SO ----- Against the CARDS....

Tough one IMO

I'll take a pitcher throwing seven shut out innings any day of the week. Alvarez was impressive and most days would be Star #1 but I have to go with J-Mac tonight.

Harrison taking out Molina.

We've talked about the need to be tougher, but it's been all about the pitcher beaning some hitter. Which is not toughness, it's petulance. Now, Harrison made a statement.

This isn't even close in my opinion.

4-5 2hrs and a double. Not to mention the longest HR ever at PNC by a Pirate...

Jmac would have had to go 9ip to get the #1 today.
