Two impressions from the middle of the 1st:

(1) J-Mac has obviously made a conscious decision to work very, very fast tonight. Good call.

(2) This place is deserted. Sub-15K, I'd guess. This is embarrassing.

Well, I want to complain that we only got 1 run out of that, but I realize my attitude toward the Bucs has been pretty sucky lately, and I'm trying to do better, sooooo....at least we got 1 run, and we have a led after 1. :)

That was a little jarring watching him chug around 3rd. He looks amazingly out of shape.

Has school started up in the Pittsburgh area? That may have as much to do with it as the recent play (though if the play was better, you might see a few more "excused tardies" at school).

Holy crap. J-Hay knocked Molina into next week. Good for him. I can't imagine we'll see Molina back in the game after that.

Yep. Daughter started last week. Was thinking the same thing.

Good point. Probably. I know that Pitt started classes yesterday.

So Harrison will lead off the bottom of the 4th. Think he'll get some chin music?

That HR by Alvarez was truly impressive. Inside corner at the knees and he put it over the 410 mark in left center. Hmm...maybe we need our mostly likely cleanup hitter in the cleanup spot, Clint. He's been batting for months in the 6 hole with no freakin' protection whatsoever. Not much tonight, but he's smacked Westbrook twice, both times back up the middle, basically. I like it a lot.

No. 9 would be more impressed if it were a double banged off the wall. ;)

Right now I'm good with 6th. I like walker in the 5 hole and jones at 4.
