This 3 game series with St Louis could be the most important series all year.
The Bucs need to win all 3, even 2 out of 3 won't help that much " Time to put up or take your ball and go home"

Winning 2 out of 3 would get us to within 1 game of the Cards with 32 left to play.

Absolutely, this series is huge. When we get to the next one, that will be even huger.

2 of 3 will do me fine. I'm pessimistic about that but I would be happy with an opening win.

Sorry to disagree but the boys need to kick some ass and win all three, they haven't been the same since they allowed Cincinnati to humiliate them.

It's their turn to show if they have what it takes to get to the next level.

When this series ends, I want to be able to look behind me ,not still starring up!

The Pirates have played a generally poor brand of baseball since the All Star Break - with few exceptions. Their record in the second half of July results from crappy competition, not good baseball. Trying to "tie" their woes to the Cincinnati series is, IMO, simply wrong.

I hate to say it, but the big series is this weekend in Milwaukee. If they walk in and get their usual ass-raping there, then I don't think they even finish at .500.

Well they are 3-3 there this year and they are skipping the 5th spot in the rotation going Karstens/Burnett/JMac.

Definitely reason for optimism with those 3 throwing.
