Here in C-town they are reporting that the Indians just traded Jason Michaels to Pittsburgh for a player to be named later.

Well anyway I didn't like Nyjer (two 'j's?") sitting on the bench. Michaels is a veteran guy who can help us in our bid to surpass .500.

He hit a homerun in the only Indians game I attended last year, a win over the Royals.
The year before I sat above him in the left field bleachers the night Jason Bay crushed two homers here in Cleveland.

He's also hitting .207 this year, which is respectively even lower than LaRoche.

Look closer at his game log (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/g ... yerId=4653). After a dismal start, he hit .360 (9 of 25) in limited duty during the 2nd half of April. Also had 7 RBI over that period. Then on May 1st ,for some reason, they stopped playing him. Nice pickup by NH.

I like the move too for the same reason. Not because Micheals is anything special, but I hate Morgan wasting away on the bench. He'll play every day in Indy to keep him ready for when the Nady/Bay trades happen.

You are waiting for Bay/Nady to be traded so that you can see Nyjer? Really? No other outfielders down in Indy you would want to get called up to take their places?

Fess up MM, you are Jim Tracy in disguise.

If Bay and Nady get traded I'd like to see Pearce and Wilson or Thompson come up...unless by that time McCutchen is hitting like Ted Williams and playing defense like Willie Mays at Indy...

McCutheon is playing well and would definitely be my choice to be a regular outfielder on the big club whenever a spot opens.

I'd like Pearce first, Morgan second. I was wrong -- and glad i was wrong -- about McClouth, but that doesn't mean Morgan could still be a good major league player.

You forgot about McCutchen, who may have priority over Pearce. Morgan's done.

And that's about as close to a regular Major League job as Morgan will get.

remember in this past offseason the Jason Bay for Cliff Lee and Kelly Shoppach? Not to beat a dead horse but...

6-0 W/L 0.81 ERA 2 W 39 SO would sound great right now.

I don't think anyone could have predicted that Cliff Lee would have a pitching line like that.

I believe Morgan will still be a good role player in the majors, it just might not be in Pittsburgh.
