I don't know what it is.. can just somebody make a spell on him in April & May

Did he rock that last homer in Petco

New Amsterdam was a Dutch settlement est. at the southern tip of Manhattan Island which served as seat of the colonial government in the New Dutch territory. It was renamed New York in honor of the then Duke of York.

I think you'll get your wish. If he's going to be back, I'd like to see someone else get some of the early season starts.

Laroche has had a really slow first two months, and very good second half, for three consecutive years. That shows me that something is going on during the first two months - mental, physical, cold weather, whatever - that is not going to disappear next year.

But as per my earlier post, I will know that Adam is going to struggle in April and May. I am not going to be hard on him again, since he is clearly not trying to fail. He just does not hit in April and May. If he did, he would be a 30 HR, 100 RBI, .550 slugging first baseman.

One minor point. Laroche does hit in May. It's just that his Aprils are so bad that it doesn't show in his season stats. You have to look at the monthly stats to see that he hits better in May that he does in April and June. His OPS in May last season was .804, and it's .810 lifetime. Not great, but if he matched that in April and June he'd be close to an All Star appearance.
