That's the only thing that's left for this franchise. Blow the whole thing up and start from scratch. Alvarez will never wear a Pirates uniform and we won't get squat in compensation. Our manager doesn't have the testicular fortitude to argue calls that are clearly wrong and won't back his veteran players. The pitching staff sucks and most of the team check out mentally a long time ago.

It's time to trade or cut all but 5 or 6 of these guys are start from scratch.

The Phillies will be in the playoffs....again.

The Rays own one of the best records in baseball.

Former Pirates will be playing with several different teams in the post season.

Enough is enough. The Pirates suck and won't stop sucking with this roster. Menky should be named assisstant GM tomorrow.

I suppose that you're basing that opinion on your extensive experience in labor law.

Well, at least you got one thing right. The pitching staff does suck.

I guess you missed the Bay and Nady trades.

Blow it up??? What was that explosion a couple of months ago? There aren't 5 or 6 guys left from the start of the year, are there (Assuming you are excluding Nate, Ryan, Matt and Paul)?

BTW-It also sucks to be loveable

Oh good. So we traded two All Star caliber players for a bunch of bums who can't run out a fly ball.

That's brilliant trading.

This team fucking blows.

yeah.. Nady & Bay where All Star Caliber players directly?? Nady just gotten his first full good year and is slowly getting back in old shapes at NYY.. Bay wasn't that stud directly either..

We got players back yes in what i am a bit dissapointed too, but maybe i hoped too much directly form Moss, Laroche
and Ohlendorf, but how can you judge those kids who haven't seen a full year of majors service yet??? incredible
to hear people say these nonsense comments, that's just writing something down to get a reaction he already knows
that it is coming..
Come on Jeremy..! i completely understand your frustration to see your fav team loose again and again, but post something new, a fresh look or thought about the losses, your frustration or at least a negative thought with depth.
NOT just make a easy command on the young guys.. EASY...

Get ready for another dissapointing season, with or without Pedro.. 2009 will not be better, but i believe
it will be nice to see, and in that year you can comment about the kids (but i doubt you will) couz 2009 will say
a whole lot more about the bucco's future then these 2 month..

I agree, the Pirates should release everyone on the current roster. Why stop there. Release the minor leagures too, because they all suck too. In fact, I would go one step further. They should just go out of business. What's the point in continuing this exercise in futility?
