And then another run on a single by the pitcher.

I am really starting to hate this roller coaster our starters take us on.

In past years, if the bucs were down 4-2 in the 7th, I would have very little hope that they could come back and win. I must say, this has changed. Haven't looked at the stats on this specific issue, but it sure feels like we climb back into games a lot more than in past. And, when we do, there are enough decent arms in the BP to keep the other team in check.

And, what do you know, as I type this, the battlin' buccos put runners on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out and Nate drives one home with a sac fly. Let's see what happens next...

Pass that Kool-aid over here, will ya?

If Doumit can keep this up, maybe he'll get some consideration as the backup catcher for the All-Star Team...wasn't he left off the ballot this year?

Yep, and Paulino was on it. Figure that out. I noticed it when I did All-Star voting last night and nearly made a thread about it.

Again, it is my duty to remind everyone that Mr. Bay is very unclutch. He never comes through when he has an opportunity with the game on the line.

Also, Laroche sucks.

Whew, Yates gets it done, with help from Bautista and LaRoche. I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready for a 1-2-3 ninth!!

Indeed. Let's see if Capps throws first pitch strikes and if the Giants swing at them....

A much-needed sweep. Hopefully, this will help them go forward with some confidence. Now if the starting pitching ever gets it together, we can start to have some real fun.

Didn't see the game and heard very little.

Reading this thread was as exciting as seeing the game. You guys did a hell of a job describing the most important moments and issues of this game. Thanks

Capps did a good job. He mixed in his slider and got the leadoff guy on a weak grounder to short on a knee-high slider.

Also, Capps was screwed by the umpire on the walk. He threw a perfect 3-2 slider for strike 3. Umpire blew the call - even the Giant announcers said that the batter "got a break" on the call.

Finally, Doumit catches a high strike as the runner heads to second. There is no reason not to throw. I was pretty surprised that he did not even try to throw him out.
