Hey Ol.. woke up too late actually to see the first innings, but saw the end..

with croissants and thee in the morning..

Man.. Duke performed really well, and was getting better along the road!! complete game shutout!!
i wonder myself.. is this SF really so bad, does the westcoast heal Zach or ???? explain!!

And for Bixler... he played a heck of a game, good to see that triple.. i would not give up on him yet!!

I am not sure how many rookies were in the Giants lineup. I've never heard of their players accept Aurilia and Rowand. I am hoping that Zach pitches like this his next few starts.

Bixler made a wonderful defensive play last night as well.

Duke was impressive. He was thowring his fastball at 90 mph, and hitting the inside corner. He sawed off Molina with the bases loaded and nobody out, getting a double play in the process. He got better as the game progressed, and really had very little trouble in the last three innings.

The complete game shutout was a fine effort, but after Duke had a pretty easy 7th inning and the Pirates had given him a 5-run lead, it became clear that he could go the distance.
