Even more line-up tweaking by Russell after the Sanchez-McLouth combo worked great last night.

1. Sanchez 2B
2. Bautista 3B
3. McLouth CF
4. Bay LF
5. Nady RF
6. LaRoche 1B
7. Paulino C
8. Bixler SS
9. Dumatrait P

The return of Paulino and Bixler after such a great night last night ... sigh.

Well they moved Bay to 4th. Perfect- Greg Brown said he's hitting below .100 with men in scoring position this year.

1st and 3rd with one out in the first. Bay flies out to center. nuff said.

If these Pirates can't score a run off of Barry "Baked" Zito I will create an all new STBHOF.

BTW, Dumatrait looks very good so far. Keep it up Phil!

Bay gets a single and Nady goes deep to LF for a Homerun. Hurray and way to go Bucs! :)

Great way to start off the inning. About time the bats woke up. Dumatrait has been great indeed. Hopefully he can keep it up and retain this lead now.

Can a former Cy Young winner be eligible for the STBHOF? I recognize that Zito has completely lost it, but I think winning such an award should preclude one from the STBHOF.

I'm watching the Indians-Yankees game. Cliff Lee is gonna be 6-0. He is unhittable right now. He should have a perfect game going in the 5th inning but Delucci let a catchable fly ball drop for a hit. Imagine how good he'd look in a Pirates uniform.

Very nice job by Dumatrait. It would be nice to see a run of consecutive good outings from the starting pitchers.

I just tuned back in and heard Luis Rivas is on 1st. What? This surely could not have been a hit. Let's just hope for no errors now to finish the game.

Pirates win 2nd straight. Capps started out shaky but thankfully a DP ended the game, 3-1 Bucs. Man, even when you think Nate is going to go a game hitless, he leads off the 8th inning with a triple. Great start by Dumatrait, this marks his official first big league victory.

I saw Lee. You are absolutely correct, he is simply filthy right now. He made Yankee hitters look stoooooopid.

And this issue is referenced in my post about Neil Huntington and talent evaluation. Huntington saw that Lee could be a big time pitcher. I thought Lee was the love child of Neal Heaton and Bob Kipper . . . wow, was I wrong.

It takes a special talent to get lumped in with those two. Especially 'Round Tripper' Kipper!

I remember Bob Kipper...He was a Frontier League Pitching Coach in the late 90's...when he came to play Johnstown, the TV sports guy got an interview with him and asked him about his time with Pittsburgh and told him if he didnt have any questions about the upcoming series the interview would be over...
