Snell got out of the first inning unscathed. He threw 15 pitches in the first - or about 10 less than his average first inning this year.

Snell looks like he's in 2007 form. Nasty slider, keeping the ball down, and spotting his pitches really well.

Man, did you happen to catch that 96 mph laser to get Glaus looking in the 6th?

Whew. The home half of the 8th was a nail biter. Kudos to Burnett and Bautista. Morgan sure can fly, no doubt about that.

Onto the 9th................

I had to turn my computer back on after Beam walked that dung beetle Izturis. WTF???

Too bad Ian didn't get the win.

Way to walk two Grabow.

Kennedy got a cheap hit.

Beam FINALLY puts this one to bed.

4-1 Pirates.

I'm turning off for good this time....................

Snell left with a lead that the Pirates never lost. He got the win. What are you talking about?

Bad call on my part. Grabow's failure had me a little discombobulated.
