unless he is just over slot. He is not healthy and the Pirates cannot afford to spend $2 million on a pitcher with shoulder problems. I would rather see some more money go to Alvarez.

If DK's blog is accurate over at the PPG, Scheppers is looking for top 10 money, which could be more than $2 million. If true, and factoring in a possible torn labrum, I'm with you...................pass!

Its a risk worth taking for a potential stud! Is there any possibility they could use him anywhere else but pitcher?

The PG said he couldn't throw a breaking ball. I usually don't mind taking on risk, but he couldn't throw a breaking ball? He may have been a stud pre-injury, but I'm not sure he's that stud anymore.
