I love that batting order. I hope that Russell sticks with it.

The way it's gone tonight, I think that it is safe to say we'll see this lineup again tomorrow night.

Maybe, the curse of Barry shifted to San Fran?

No, they've been under the curse of Sabean for quite some time now.

IA Bucco - McLOUTH! No extra C. ;)

Duke even gets a hit. Great night for the Buccos, might as well turn it into a winning streak. Lord knows they need it.

Thank you for the correction. After April no one should be misspelling his name, especially me.

Haha, it's no problem. I still do that too when writing Nate's name quick. Just figured I would correct ya after doing it a couple of times.

Because the Buccos won tonight in such convincing fashion it was good to see Castillo hit a three-run shot.

I love love love this lineup. I've been crying for Freddy to bat lead off for two years. I knew he would come around, but what Nate Dog is doing is something special. He'll be in the All Star game if he keeps this up. Wouldn't that be something??

McLouth (and I needed correction too) Sure looks good at the 2 slot. He should stay there and see but if Freddy gets on, it opens up that side of the infield for him, plus his power would make you think he could drive in more runs from the second slot.

If, and this is a big if, his offense continues, he should be moved to the three spot. If not Nate Dog, how about Nady. Certainly, even the die hard Bay fans must realize that he is no where near the player we thought he was two years ago.

He's Fallen and he can't get up![b]

Card carrying Bay fan here.
The good:
* walks are up
* ks are down
* tracking to score over 100 runs
* HR power almost back to where it was

The bad:
* what happened to his gap power? He only has 3 doubles so far this year, two more than Matt Morris! Anyone have an idea?

Bay's hitting is pretty good. His eye at the plate is so good that it almost hurts him, since umpires will call strikes that are in fact just off the plate. He will hit, hit with power and get on base.

And as others have correctly noted, he is playing stellar defense in left. He goes a long way to get some balls. His throwing is poor, but dang he covers ground out in left.

Bay is not a problem. I am part of the Baywatch crowd.

You're right, Bay hasn't been his old self thus far, but he IS still an on base machine. I like him where he is. The only way I'd move him is to put him in the no. 2 hole, but I like the way last night's lineup alternates between right and left handed hitters.
