Dejan reports in the PPG:

"Game story: It is mentioned in the main piece that Andy LaRoche had X-rays on his right thumb immediately after the game last night and that no fracture was detected. That piece was written in a hurry, and I can elaborate a bit now: LaRoche hurt the thumb -- yes, same one that had the torn ligament from spring training -- on a check-swing in his final at-bat of the game. He felt it right away, reported it to the staff and looked very relieved that nothing was broken. He said it was "not serious," but it was heavily bandaged, and ligament issues are not often detected by X-rays, so more will be done today."

Good Lord ... could anything go right for this club??

Great. Reason # 15,381 why you give yourself multiple options at every position.

I seriously hope he is okay. He needs to play 50 games at that position, and show what he can do with 200 plate appearances.

I think he'll be back before you know it. It's not like he's one of our pitchers or anything.

Yeah, but will he be productive? He does swing the bat
