I believe I mentioned in a post the other day that finding space on the 40 man roster was not a problem for the Pirates. I didn't expect them to prove me right so quickly, though.

I'm assuming both will clear and be sent to AAA or possibly AA for Duffy.

Don't get me wrong, I still think that Duffy would make a fine backup outfielder with his speed and defense. I just don't see where he fits in here. Somebody is going to remember that speed and D and scoop him up.

I just question his mental makeup .. and he's not a kid like Tabata, so I don't think that's the reason.

He's 28 and has only 600+ major league ABs to his name.
