Watched 15 min. of M&M this morning. Turned it off. All they did was talk about Boston and Buster, the Boston Boy, acts like there was no Pittsburgh in this trade except for the weak hitting Bay. No comment from him about the Pirate gain or loss. It like we don't exist.

M&M my a$$. They need to find another viewer to replace me.

Yep, Baseball Tonight teased for a half an hour lastnight how the panel was going to disect the trades and proclaim winners and losers. Guess who wasn't even mentioned?

True, but how are other teams going to see the trade value of a young unproven guy who rarely gets a chance to play much? They could end up a stud but we would never find out. For example with Pearce, if he ends up being the 4th guy in our outfield, we will never know what his value is if he never gets to play everyday. It would be one thing if we already knew what we had in a guy, but that's hard to figure out unless they play, and not just a month audition.

That sounds exactly how the Pirates got Giles from the Indians.

ESPN Radio stinks. The only half way decent show is Tirico and Van Pelt.

Agree. More and more, I've been turning over to FSR in the mornings. If nothing else, they're edgier and funnier. Greenburg's whinny, metrosexual act has really worn on me over the years. Plus, the FSR guys don't act like hockey doesn't exist just because it's not on their network.

I disagree. While I like both FSN and ESPN Radio, I'd have to say the WORST show on either local station is Tirico and Van Pelt. To each their own I guess.

Sports talk radio in general has gone downhill. Rome and Patrick are dragging down the quality big time.

You can listen live at espnradio1250.com. He starts Monday, I think, with Eddie Crow (ugh) and former Steeler Mike Logan (surprisingly good).

I agree that he's a big radio talent. Great presence, great voice, very funny. Not sure he's a big sports talent though. Can he get beyond the humor and offer serious insights? We'll see. Anything's better than Madden. I agree that Logan has a bright future.

If they talk Notre Dame as well as Pittsburgh sports, I'll be tempted.
