Well he did pitch a 1-2-3 third inning. Maybe he's settling down. Of course he's getting no support from his team on offense.

He threw really well in the 4th. Good location, good mixture of pitches.

He was hurt not because Holliday hit a HR off him (that guy can freaking rake), but because the pathetic Willie "Outmaker" Taveras was on base at the time, and then later hit a run-scoring single off him. Taveras is a terrible hitter against everybody but the Pirates, it seems.

Ryan Doumit can freaking hit. He has scalded two of his three hits tonight and is ready to catch fire again.

My fantasy team rejoices.

Wow! What a turnaround. I stepped out to watch Spongebob with my kid.. I come back and we're winning 5-3.. swinging the bat.. getting some walks. Ian is pitching well. Maybe he can build on this..

In other news, Nady just crushed his first HR at Yankee Stadium (also his first hit as a Yankee).

Denny Bautista is throwing some nasty stuff tonight in the 8th inning at PNC Park against the Rockies. Pirates got solid 7 innings from Ian Snell after I thought it looked like another 3-4 inning outing after his first two innings but he calmed down and started to get into a good groove.

Yep. His curve was dropping off of the table. He was moving his fastball around and getting some decent movement.

I'm sooooooo glad the team let Doumit catch. I cringed everytime I heard the ides of him being a backup outfielder while Joggin' Ronnie starts behind the plate.

Oh well, maybe you missed the comeback, but at least you got to sing the Spongebob song. :D
