7 hits and 5 earned runs in 6 innings of work. Gives up a two-run dinger and 2 doubles.

Fourth L in a row and fifth in his last six starts.

I didn't think Duke pitched all that bad. He got killed with two outs several times. He just couldn't put them away.

LaRoche was impressive obviously. I would trade this guy while he's hot. I don't think the Pirates would get much for him in the offseason. Other teams are aware that he won't hit until June. This is when his value is the absolute highest. (Then again, seeing what the fetched for Nady/Marte, I cringe at the thought of what they'd get back for LaRoche).

Wow if we get rid of all are players its like where rebuilding all over again this seriously should not happen
If any team wants Duke or Snell for something descent go for it , Maholm stays obviously and Gorzo should get another chance i dont know about Dumatret anyways the hole pitching staff is shaky , I say go get a couple of pitching free agents in the winter for next season instead of hoping prospects will get you to the playoff
