Intersting that SanDiego has 5 starters tonight whose last name starts with a G, 3 with an H, and a Lonely K.

Just caught my eye. What could it mean?

Headley, Hundley, and Hensley. A law firm?
In 1993 the Indians had Mlicki, Milacki, and Bielecki.

The last part sounds like it belongs to the Pirate pitching staff.

I think, at one time during the "killer B" era they had 8 different guys on the roster with the last name starting with B. Just for a night or so when someone got called up from the minors.

I remember my dad and I penciling in our "All B" lineup. In order to make it work, though, you had to put pitchers playing positions and only 2 outfielders ... (we were bored).

I don't remember all the guys, but I think this might have been it:

LF - Bonds
RF - Bonilla

3B - Backman
SS - Jay Bell
2B - Doug Bair (playing out of position)
1b - Sid Bream
P - Stan Belinda
C - Dan Bilardello

You could plug Rafael Belliard in at 2nd base.

I wish Randy "Fat Ass" Marsh shared that view.
