Doumit playing afternoon after a night game. JR must want this one badly. We'll see if we hit a tougher pitcher. Hope so.

And with a 4 run lead, Ian Snell goes right out and attacks the hitters...

...or gives up a leadoff walk.

4-2 Pirates

Loretta singles drives in 2...

Way to get out to an early lead...

This pitching staff sucks in the 1st inning

Ian Snell should be fined for walking two of the first 3 hitters after being given a 4-0 lead in the top of the first.

The Astros are reeling and Snell revives them. Moehler was ready to be counted out, but now gets to gather himself for 15 minutes while Snell dicks around and goes 3-2 to every hitter who gets within 10 feet of the plate.

Really sucks the life out of the team. If Snell gets the Astros 1-2-3, then Moehler is back on the mound in 5 minutes, this game is over.

But no - Snell just is not a good pitcher right now.

Ian "100 pitches in 3 innings" Snell - 36 pitches in a horrendous first inning.

It is getting beyond tiresome to watch him stagger through five innings, while throwing 120 pitches. If he is afraid to throw strikes, he does not belong on the mound. End of story.

Way to go Freddy! Maybe Ian will settle down after the big strike out to end the inning.

Just called my bro in Brownsville.. winds are 70 mph in South Texas. They may get 8-10 inches of rain..

Bottom of the order...Ausmus K's, Pitcher K's...A lift that Snell might have needed

6 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings, and Mohler is out...Doug Meint doubled in LaRoche

Sampson is pitching

I hope that Delilah is hitting in the Bucs line-up somewhere.

Snell just gave up an RBI with 2 outs, 1st base open, and the pitcher on deck. Disgusting.

Ian Snell is a head case.

Two outs, nobody on in back-to-back innings and he gives up a run.

Once on a HR to Kaz Matsui, who is as likely to hit a HR as me, and then with Brad Ausmus at the plate and the pitcher on deck.

This shows that something is going on with Snell that has nothing to do with his pitching. He needs a shrink.

I need a shrink.

I need a drink.

I need a shrink a drink.

Problem: who pitches if you send Snell down. What a mess.
