Nice start. two innings-- Maholm is mowing them down and we get a double from Nady, single from Laroche, and score on Batistas double play.
2-0

Time to start to worry.

Three innings 3-0 Nate went yard, and Maholm has retired 9 straight.
Get ready, if history holds, we're in trouble now-- we got them right where they want us.

Maholm may pitch a shutout tonight.. great to see!

And Russell's philosophy paid off tonight.. our "other" lead off hitter (Jack) led off the 5th with a double which spurred a two run inning.

When you have two lousy hitters like La Roche and Bautista I suppose there is no harm in placing a certain out behind those two. Jack will lead off the 7th inning.

Nate Mc Louth 20 homers.. Jack leading off in the 9 hole.. Maholm 75 pitches in six innings. Priceless..

You've apparently not seen Laroche hit in the past 3 weeks or so, eh?

Maholm is a good pitcher. He was simply brilliant in the first 3 innings against Colorado - and that two-run HR that led to the defeat was a joke. A broken bat HR that goes 10 rows deep? Please.

Yes of course I've noticed Adam's turnaround.. I'm just trying to pick Russell's brain.. wondering how he thinks. I actually quite look forward to a 2009 lineup with La Roche in it. He can't possibly start next season the way he has the previous two.

I'm real happy he is hitting so well now. But history usually repeats itself. We fans need to be like Missouri-- show me.

Bucfan is on the money. Maholm is the best we have this year and is good.

Yeah, there's no way the Pirates can have another losing season after the last __________ seasons!

Sorry, couldn't resist.
