Coming back off an injury that has had him sidelined all year, he has pitched 9 scoreless innings, a WHIP of 0.56, and 11 Ks. May make the trade of Marte or Grabow more pallatable.

I've always liked Perez, he is pretty tough to hit. Control was always his biggest problem. What are his walk numbers (I'm feeling lazy)?

Four hits and only one walk in his 9 innings. I say give him another shot.

Absolutely. The Pirates pitching is so dreadful, they'd be foolish to rule out ANY options.

I was wondering when somebody was going to make mention of Perez. He's been lights-out since returning.

I think you're right about the 40 man. As bad as this team is, though, I'm sure you can find someone to remove from the 40 man if you see a guy like Perez who might help you win.

Theres a few guys on the MLB roster that are worthy of getting dumped to make a spot
