All,

I want this team to win more than ever. Enclosed is my ideal lineup w/ projected statistics and rationale where I thought it was necessary.

Warm Wishes,
BD2oo2

1. CF Nate McLouth - 30 HR/100 RBI .280
2. RF Andrew McCutchen - 15 HR 80 RBI .290 30 SB
3. 1B Adam LaRoche 30 HR 100 RBI .270
4. LF Barry Bonds (What Have We Got To Lose?) 30 HR 100 RBI .260
5. 2B Freddy Sanchez (Master Of The Fish Filet, Good For Driving 'Em In) 5 HR 80 RBI .300
6. 3B Chris Stynes (We Got Good Stuff Already With The Top Of The Lineup, Trade Bautista Or Something, He's Ugly, And Stynes Showed Flashes) 10 HR 60 RBI .270
7. SS Brian Bixler (I Like Bix He Has Potential, Jack May Be Dealt For PitchingProspects (PP)) 5 HR 50 RBI .280
8. C Jason Kendall (Having A Great Hitting Catcher Is Overrated Thus Doumit May Be Dealt For PP, Plus Jason Is a Total Dirtdog And I Like How He Plays The Game) 0 HR 50 RBI .300
9. Pitcher

I would actually have the pitcher bat #3 and move LaRoche to the bottom of the order.

Ha! Thanks for that. I spit beer all over the place when I saw Stynes' name. Talk about hope springing eternal...Stynes comes out of retirement, miraculously reverses his suckitude, and hits 10 homers and drives in 50. Lovin' it.

Honestly though, why not go all out and bring back Adrian Brown instead of running McLouth out there?

Wonderful, terrific post. Maybe the best ever.

I believe in Mr. Stynes, I circle his 2003 season in which he drove in 73 for Colorado. Perhaps that could occur in the outfield, maybe Nate could draw some good prospects. I know I was contemplating Pat Meares coming out of retirement to play 2nd, but Freddy's fish filet style hitting would be very valuable to this lineup.

Happy Monday,
BD2oo2

That line up has a chance to lose 120 games.

Wait...I thought he was being sarcastic. BatDude, please tell me you weren't even close to being serious.

Really?

Wow.

To paraphrase the great Lewis Black...what amount of drugs would you have to do, over what period of time, to come up with that idea?

I think that Lewis Black is a very funny guy.

I'm also sure that the post is satirical

Third, we could lose over 100 with the present line up, if the pitching continues to do such an outstanding job.
