Very interesting. My understanding is that the org. has a book on every prospect and they have to fulfill all of the goals outlined in the book before being promoted. Lincoln has had some solid starts, but I hardly would have guessed he was to the point of a promotion (don't get me wrong, I am glad to see it). Meanwhile, Romak continues to hit .300 and lead the league in homers...

I was wondering the same thing, BBF. What is in Romak's "book" and why hasn't he been promoted?

From what it sounds like for Romak...it's hitting with 2 strikes. He K's a lot.

Also, I read somewhere (PG maybe?) that he isn't very aggressive early in at-bats...like he is waiting for the perfect pitch. Those perfect pitches will never be there the higher he moves up in the organization, so I guess they want him to hit the pitches closer to the zone, but not dead center.

The issues probably hurt him collectively also. If he is waiting on fringe pitches that are called strikes, he gets his back against the wall and chases junk on 2 strikes.

Lincoln was coming off one of his best performances last weekend...he was never dominant, but solid and is a bulldog...the pitching coach down here loved him...remember he wasn't supposed to pitch until August

The PG says the Bucs top pitching prospect...I would say the only pitching prospect...even withstanding Moskos...

The Dads are left with Linares a 25-year-old and two other converted outfielders turned relief pitchers...Yikes!...

Hague continues to be Dr. Strangeglove down here, but can hit...and Mercer is progressing at the #2 hitter...but it's going to be a long July, and AUgust...

ANy opinions on whether Alvarez might get a cup of coffee here when/if he signs?

Clapp has pitched well at times, but yeah, not much there pitchingwise. It's fun to follow all the farm teams though. Matthew Hague is swinging the bat really well.

Lincoln is starting tomorrow night at the Potomac Nationals...15 miles from the Krauthaus...trying to convince Mrs. Kraut that we need to brave the CODE RED air quality, heat and humidity to check out the game...6 to 5 and pick 'em that I close that sale!
