OK, everyone. Time to look into the crystal ball . . . .

What does this mean (it's from today's Q & A in the Post-Gazette)?

Until next week, when there will be the usual chat Monday, but the Q&A will not return until Friday from Denver. And it might be a very special edition of the Q&A ...

Care to venture a guess?

We're trading LaRoche to Colorado for Matt Holliday and moving him to RF and Nady to 1st?

I'd say it means Dejan expects some trades to be made over the Allstar break.

One cannot help but conclude that DK expects something to occur which will generate a lot of inquiries. I'm betting that he's not expecting McLouth to be the MVP of the All Star Game.

The signing deadline for draftees is 8/15 so I'm betting that is not what he is referencing. I predict it will involve the trade of Xavier Nady and I'll also predict that there will be an avalanche of mail criticizing NH for not "getting enough" in return for Nady.

I also predict that Pearce will be the player asked to fill Nady's spot.

Hmm...when I read it, it didn't come across like that at all. I was thinking maybe he wouldn't do the Q&A, but instead maybe a member of the Pirates front office, coaching staff, or a player. It never crossed my mind that he was predicting something to do with the team.

Interesting thought. I would guess that DK would advertise this fact in advance . . .

These words imply to me that the second hypothesis might be the correct one. A particular item of interest to many posters does not of itself warrant the term "special" - momentous, busy or flooded or somesuch maybe.
'Special' implies that it is out of the ordinary, which trades (of whatever magnitude), performances, and lineups etc. are not.
Thus if '12' were to answer all questions, for example, in Greek it would be special, but not just because there was an extra volume of post.

I miss No. 12 on the boards. Since he's been with the Post-Gazette the coverage has been nothing short of spectacular though.

For those who haven't noticed, tomorrow's Q&A will be the final one...in its stand-alone version.

DK is now a blogger at the PG, and the Q&A will be part of his blog. I wonder if that was what he was referring to?

What a lame teaser...I guarantee that it's absolutely nothing or at least nothing interesting. I'm not a fan of Dejan's Q&A myself. There's rarely anything enlightening in it and a lot of it is just boring irrelevant stuff that takes little to no effort on his part.

My guess is that his assignment has changed, or he's been promoted, or he's leaving for a better job.
