This article was in the PG and they took a shot at Pirates ownership with this quote..."But forgive the Steelers fan who is consumed with doubt, not to mention the possibility that this can do great harm to Pittsburgh. To see what can result under a shifting sports ownership, one need look only at the Pirates."
You hope ownership has its fans interests at heart, Dan Rooney does not have enough coin to buy out his brothers. A outsider who seems to care and is a fan does. Too bad someone like him can not do the same transaction for the Pirates

BH... I think Cuban has the coin to buy the Bucs but Nutting didn't want to sell. Plus I don't think baseball wants Cuban in the league.

Cuban mentioned that if you dont mind the public bashing, owning the Pirates and making a 15-20 mil profit while the team sucks is what current ownership was content with. From a business standpoint ,why would you want to sell?
He said that he would try to win and he would not be able to be in the RedSox Yankee range of payroll, but would be content breaking even of losing a mil or two if payroll was 70-80 mil and competing to win.

Well I guess we win the harder way. of the 4 remaining teams in the postseason last year only one was ranked above 20 in payroll. Lot to be said about that.
