And the Pirates earn (and I mean that derisively) the first pick in the 2011 draft?

Do they select Bryce Harper or Anthony Rendon?

I think Harper will sign, so it will be a moot point, but if he doesn't, then it is a wait and see deal with another year to evaluate him and to see if Rendon recovers fully and is worth #1 pick money.

If he doesnt sign, will he go back to school or will he go Independent League?

I was just thinking this myself after seeing something on a sports website about the Harper signing (or lackthereof thus far).

I don't see why Harper wouldn't sign w/ the Nats. It's not like he has better options. If he hits the draft next year either Burgh or B-More will have the top pick, so he's not going to get drafted by any long-time contending teams.

As for whether or not Burgh should take him over Rendon (if he's there)... I think the question becomes: will Harper play RF?

Because Lord knows Harper >>> Milledge.
