Was just reading up on the Spikes again. They are lousy and don't score many runs. In reading, I discovered that the Hitting Coach is running the team while the manager is away at his son's graduation. The hitting coach is none other than................Sid Bream. I am in State College quite often but don't know if that's an autograph I want.

I got Sid's autograph after a Pirates game in the mid eighties. He wrote a bible verse under his name. I also met Tommy Sandt, Jim Winn (he is from southwest MO and he knew someone from my high school!) and Larry Mc Williams (the pitcher who snapped Pete Rose's 44-game hitting streak!) Some fans tried to ask Johnny Ray for his autograph but he kept walking (mad because the Buccos lost) and I saw Bob Walk (then a pitcher) get into a beat up looking station wagon. :D

My stepdad has an autographed picture of him for sale at his variety store...$6 if anyone's interested?

I told him to burn it, but he thinks he can get a few $$ for it...

Oh and on a side note, Brian Tracy, Jim Tracy's kid, is the pitching coach...

I hope he's nothing like his pops

Not only do they stink, but I haven't been impressed with the park/atmosphere, etc. I mean, it's nice and new and all of that, but there's something missing. I can't put my finger on it.

I've had a better time at other area parks, Altoona, Erie, Akron, Allentown, etc.
