He has really improved his lateral movement and really blocks the ball much better than he used to. One thing that scares the daylights out of me is the way he keeps his off-hand in front of his body. There were a few times last night I really thought his hand would get nailed. With the way he has been bitten by the injury bug this needs to get nipped in the bud quickly. It is unnecessary to keep the hand in front like that.

He has improved. I don't think he'll ever be a "good" defensive catcher, but he is serviceable considering his potent bat.

I'd like to hear what the pitchers have to say about him.

He got hit in the hand on a Posada foul in the 3rd. Yankee announcers questioning why his hand is there.

That's the place where catchers were instructed to keep their hands many years ago when I started out. He's moving it around too much, though.

Great call, IA. The Pirates announcers were also questioning why he keeps his hand there.
