Admittedly I've enjoyed a couple brews tonight, but I, for one, am looking foward to Nyjmo back in the lineup. I know he hasn't shown anything this year but just maybe his enthusiasm will be a welcome addition after this past week.

Toronto fired their manager and have Cito Gaston back doing the managing. --- Maybe they'll be completely disfunctional tonight or maybe they'll react like some teams and have a huge night.

Let's hope Duke has his stuff and stays away from walks. One walk already in the first but a DP followed.

I don't think much of our line up tonight which probably means we'll score about 12 tonight.

Zach Duke has been terrific tonight. Bless him.

But our heroes fail to score despite having the bases juiced.

Halladay is tough.

Sigh.

Too bad Zach couldn't get the win but we may pull this thing out.

How about an Adam La Roche walk off shot to win it?

I can't remember a scoreless extra inning Pirates game. I bet it's been a long time since we've had one.
Who's gonna pitch the 10th for us?

I'll try to see if I can pick up the Toronto station on my car radio. lol

Anybody notice? Nyjer Morgan was hitting .239 when he was recalled. He has just lowered his batting average by 100 points.

Not a bad night for Doug M. For one, well, he's one of the only guy who has hit, and two, that was a hell of a diving catch on the line drive earlier in the game.

Anyway, looks like a lead-off single by Freddy is gonna go wasted here.

And the top hitting outfield in the league is a solid 0 - 15 tonight!

Had his line drive back at Halliday been a couple inches any other direction we would be talking about how he was the offensive hero of this game. :|

I just fear that soon we are going to have to turn to a Sean Burnett or a Franquelis Osoria. In that case, I'm frightened.

Error or not, Jason Michaels to the rescue again!

Man this was a much-needed win.
