Freddy Sanchez is wearing #21 for the Giants. Nothing against Freddy, but I don't think anyone in MLB should wear #21. That number should be retired by MLB.

I have to agree with that one. I wore #21 from t-ball up through highschool because of the meaning behind it. I agree that it should be retired at the major league level.

I disagree. The Pirates and Indians are the only teams that should not wear 21. He was OURS. Yes, he and Jackie Robinson were vital to the game, and great men in the real world. I don't believe the whole league should retire any one number though. I think it takes away from the fact that these great men played for those franchises.

Bob Lemon wore # 21 for the Indians. That number is unique for the Pirates and Indians.

I'll bet Mr Nutting secretly purchased the number 21 and is making a profit from it's continued circulation in the game!!!!

I agree w/ Estrago and Ollie and with regards to the former I think that is likely a sign of the apocalypse.

I think if anyone retires #21 it should be Pirates. He is "Ours" so we should retire his number not others. That has the benefit of keeping it meaningful as other teams will comment on him every time they come to town as well.
