Stop waiting until freaking late in the game to score runs! Errr. We should have at least got more than one run out of that.

Bases loaded and no outs.........Jack can't hit it deep enough to score a run (also grounded into a DP his last AB) and Bay doesn't get it done either. It's up to Doughnuts.......nope nope nope Doughnuts makes an out.........no runs scored.....I hope that's not the game right there. Pirates might not get another chance to score the rest of the game.

I thought a good fight would have put a little more life into this Pirate team. Seems like the vets of the team have some fire and passion.

Russell probably promised Mientkiewicz that he would get the start today. La Roche is hitting .197 against lefties. I would like to have seen Mienky and Chris Gomez both start today.

Gomez has hit very well off of Johnson in the past including a homer (?!) and 5 RBI's. I would have definitely liked to have seen him in the line-up, especially since today is "bench day" with our startling line-up.

It's not often you get Johnson on the ropes like that. A golden opportunity passed us by.

Hey, what happened between Randy Johnson & Mientkiewicz? Benches cleared in the bottom of the 3rd. Was there a brush back pitch?

And so on cue, Arizona hits a Homerun and the game is tied 1-1.
Very frustrating.

Apparently he showed up the umps by raising his hands in mock approval rounding 2b. Blass said he should get plunked next ab.............but that he wouldn't. Has to be tough being a player from a bygone era watching this sort of thing.

Doug was apparently taking too much time in the batter's box and was calling times when Johnson would get ready to pitch. Johnson didn't like it so he walked to the moud and they started yapping at each other. Doumit and a few others get involved and the next thing you know the benches and bullpen are out. No Tampa Bay-Boston repeat here, they settled down quick.

Another opportunity. Bautista up, runners on 1st and 3rd with one out. Yay.....and a Sac Fly to RF. Bucs take the lead again 2-1.

The aggressive base running paid off again.

Yeah, but I'd rather go ahead and take the sac fly instead of the possibility of grounding out into a DP, which surely could happen with the Pirates. Gettin it one run at a time!

I don't care how they score as long as they score.

I thought you were being sarcastic when you put "Yay" about the sac fly ... was just sayin. I'm with you, this team needs to score by any means necessary.

We should be running like this every game. I love it! Was that a hit and run or a straight steal by Jack?

5-1 Buccos! We've taken advantage of the errors and walks. Some big hits here and there as well. Zach looks like he'll go seven innings. Man, we could have won all four of these games vs. Arizona.

Did anyone think Bautista was safe at home in the 6th? I only saw a quick replay but it looked damn close.
