two 1st inning walks, and a Jackson rbi single and a rbi double by Chris Young to LF...2-0 D Backs, one out (and that was a sacrifice)...Sac fly 2 outs, 3-0 Arizona

Damn it!!!

Thanks Mr. Gorzelanny. Let's spot Arizona 3 runs in the top of the first inning. :x

Bets that the Pirates get mowed down in the bottom of the 1st?

BD you must be a seer. We really got it going tonight. This is the kind of crap that makes it hard tp keep watching.

Gorzo is about as bad as anyone we've thrown out there in the last four or five years.
He absolutely sucks. First two guys walk. Get him out of the rotation. Anyone, repeat, anyone else would give us as good a chance to win (or should I say lose).

Good for you Jason Bay. He makes a great catch in LF to stop a ball from going over the wall for a HR and then hits a HR over the RF wall.

Well done Jason!

Well, at least Mr. Gorzelanny settled down a bit and made it through five innings. That's a good sign.

I think these guys are all head cases...........Image

NDog goes deep to RF to tie the game 3-3. Way to go Nate! This would be a very important win for the Pirates if they can make it happen.

Anyone starting to see the Pirate ship begin to take on water? Man the lifeboats!

Gorzo looked as good as he has all year from the 2nd inning on. I'm actually more encouraged with him than Snell right now.

Funny how everyone around here had left him for dead in the first inning tonight.

Two painful losses in a row. Our bullpen has to come through when the going gets tough.

And you thought he was going to end up pitching a good game after the first inning based on what his past outings have been like? Actually, I was very surprised that he settled down and did pitch a good game.

Gorzelanny or any Pirate pitcher can't afford to spot good teams like Arizona runs in the first inning like that. The Pirates are not that good of a team to come back against good pitchers on good teams to win games that often.

Tough loss. Az has a ton of dangerous right-handed hitters. Should have considered using Capps in the top of the 9th. No "save" was going to occur, and most other teams put their best relief pitcher - the closer - into tie home games in the top of the ninth.

Good to see Doumit get a hit. He has struggled coming back. Jack is just not hitting a lick right now.

Gorzo Hyde appeared in the first, followed by Gorzo Jekyll the next 6 innings.

I feel the end of the season approaching . . . victories in the next two games are basically mandatory before the interleague debacle commences.

P.S. Were others completely unimpressed with Haren? How is this guy a winning pitcher in the majors with his average fastball and meatball curve??

Frustrating watch him lob that nothing curve over the middle of the plate and not get hammered.
