I followed him last year just because of his name. He really tore up the the VSL last year. However it was his 3rd year there and is kind of old (22) for the GCL. Watch and follow.

I know that he can find a job in the Department of Redundancy Department if the baseball gig doesn't work out.

It requires one to have watched a fair amount of television. ;)

I hate to turn into BH here but do you think Yankees fans pay attention to their A ball teams?

This is pathetic.

I'm sorry, burger.. I should have saved it for another post. I am just fed up with MLB. Also feeling a bit alone now that my kid is going back to school.

Cheer up Ollie. Take a couple of days, listen to some Horace Andy, some Burning Spear, maybe some I-Roy. You'll feel better. Can't let the highs get too high nor the lows get too low. Keep the faith baby.

Apology accepted. I can understand and relate.

Thanks, guys. I did enjoy seeing the 30th year celebration of the '79 team. I haven't been to a high school reunion before. That's the feeling I got after seeing all those greats.. like being in a time machine. I'm wondering if there was anybody missing besides Mike Easler. He's a hitting coach somewhere in the majors so that's why he wasn't there.

DK mentioned in his chat the other day that Jim Bibby was missing as well. Didn't know why.

Ollie raising this thread to the top again made me realize that I misspelled "Starring". Doh! Too bad Ryann wasnt hear too poynt it owt.

I thought Easler was there. Ok then, four guys weren't there for the party -- Easler, Bibby, Tim Foli, and Enrique Romo.

Foli is a manager in A-ball, I believe, so he probably couldn't make it.

Romo lives in Mexico, and shies away from attention.

[gossip]
In 1982, Romo had a relationship with the wife/girlfriend of a guy with a lot of power, who has threatened Romo's life. He never returned to Pittsburgh. There still may be a contract out on Romo.
[/gossip]

1983 autographed Romo cards are VERY difficult to find.

He might be the hitman Augustine was referring to.
