Where are all the guys that were saying how great these trades were this year, and how great N.H. and his monkeys are doing. Wake up people. I would love to have Morgan, McClouth, Grabow, Sanchez back. This franchise right now is the worst run franchise in MLB, maybe the worst in ALL professional sports.

I am right here and I could care less if we lose every game the rest of the year if it means I am in the playoff run in 2011.

Big picture, big picture. Looks like the HD is not working properly, but the same word remains the operable word-- Patience.

Fans like you are the reason the club was run in to the ground the last several years. Morgan is an AWFUL player. McLouth is two years away from being full on Eric Byrnes. Grabow is a an average at best reliever. And Sanchez is hurt in San Fran. Furthermore, none of these guys was going to be part of the future.

Like sub said, they can lose every game for the rest of the season if it means being contenders in 2011. Besides, if we end up with the worst record in the majors, we can draft Bryce Harper.

Hmmm...agree on Morgan. Bucs got back two lesser players in that trade.

But Bucs are stronger in CF with Cutch over McLouth (if you want to make a point-try getting the naemr right) plus we haver Morton (who has a huge upside-possibly our best starter already-despite yesterday).

Grabow was hot and cold, and yes our bullpen today is a little weaker, but Grabow would be gone anyway.

And as much as I like Freddy Sanchez, DYoung has more upside at 2b, and is probably already better offensively.

I really wish we could take the Morgan/Burnett trade back. We could really use those guys. I think Neil saw something that wasn't there when looking at Milledge. I flat out don't like the guy, and I mean as a ballplayer, not as a person. He and Hanrahan are not helping the team at all.

I would not take back any of the other trades.

And, by what criteria do you have a player being "awful"? Is it the .300+ BA? The high OBP? The highest rated defense in MLB? C'mon, enlighten us.

The guy is having one fluke season. He's still a 4th outfielder on at least 28 major league teams.

I feel like this, but I will not complain too much. Morgan is no superstar, but he is a serviceable starter on a bad/average MLB team (4th outfielder and defensive sub on a playoff team). Sure our bullpen sucks right now, but we were not expecting to compete anyway. We can hope maybe Dumatrait helps out out in the pen. I would never want to take any of the other trades back. Snell is no good. Jack and Freddy are both hurt or playing hurt and are injury risks. I liked Burnett, but oh well, no huge loss. Milledge doesn't look too bad at the plate at times, and there is still hope for him. I agree his tools are not all that maybe the front office thought they were, but maybe the guy can get in some work this season and in the offseason and really do well to improve his game (lose some weight, gain some speed).

Hopefully the bucs can keep losing. We're looking great in the race for the #2 overall pick. If we can add Sano and spend the money to get the best player at #2, things could be looking up.

He is playing as he has played at virtually every level he has played at, virtually every year of his career except 1. I've seen Damon play CF. Morgan would run all over, by, and through him.

Give it up. The guy has shown he can play.

Career major league average in 3 seasons is .304. 38 Stolen bases so far this year. Yeah, he has been caught a lot, can certainly use some improvement there, but obviously has the ABILITY to steal bases.

Career minor league average of .293, with 3 of 6 seasons over .300.

234 Stolen bases in just 513 minor league games.

Morgan may not ever be a star, but he IS a guy who is going to hit, play decent OF, steal some bases, and you know what you get. He is a guy very popular with fans and his teammates.

Yeah, this season is a fluke.

Popular with the fans.

It's sad that some people still have that mentality.

Really?

You don't think that is important??

Then I feel sorry for you.

I want to win. I don't want to keep losing with players like Morgan and Wilson just because they were fan favorites. People love the Steelers even though they have druggies and woman beaters on the team.

So no Animal, it's not important to me. Winning is important to me.

I'd hate to put 9 a-holes like Barry Bonds on the field.

Actually I do believe in team chemistry to an extent...but talent, especially in a team like the Pirates who can't split hairs on guys, rules the day.

I don't want 9 Bonds. I don't want 9 Morgans either.

Morgan doesn't suck. That's silly. Long term he may still be a 4th OF kind of guy, and I love the trade, but he was an exciting player to watch here. I like Tony Plush, and I think that he was very good for the team. Do you think it was a coincidence that we were playing decent until we traded him, and then the Nats became decent?

I don't think it is a coincidence at all. Teams need players like Nyjer Morgan. That's another reason I was so against the trade.

I'll agree that the Nyjer trade is looking bad (at the moment anyways).

But the rest were necessary and have massive amounts of potential.

I doubt that w/ Nate, Freddy (hurt), Jack (hurt) and the entire starting lineup from opening day, we'd be much better... maybe 5/6 more wins and that's it.
