This where Russell has been a big failure. If guys can't throw strikes, you can't leave them in the game, especially when it is 1-0.

I am starting to think Mr. Russell should go.

I can't understand why we signed him to an extension back in February.

BB I'm starting to think JR is under directive to let these guys twist in the wind. Find out how they handle pressure at the expense of winning. That's the only thing I can come up with to explain his extremely slow hook.

It's one thing to challenge them and see if they can handle. If they can't throw strikes, they shouldn't be in the majors let alone the game. Find guys who are going to challenge hitters, not give the game away. The Cards scored four runs that inning, three of those players walked.

Wainwright is up over 100 pitches now, and over 30 in this inning.

Moss has Adam LaRoche syndrome going on right now, off speed stuff down and in is a guaranteed swing and miss.

Strange -- They said he had great control in the spring.??? Was he nervous or just scared to death. No matter he walked the gamw away.

He has a huge hole in his swing. The reason he does well sometimes is he lays off those. I think all the pitchers in the league have the book on this guy though. They always try to throw low and in on him hoping he can't lay off or can't see it coming.

Meek has been a pleasant surprise to me this year. I always thought he was crap last year when he couldn't throw any of his breaking stuff for strikes, but he really has his control down now.

He is swinging at off speed pitches like when a AAA player gets called up to the majors for the first time.

I can't stand no more. Watching Doumit blow from both sides of the plate is enough for me. Last one out don't forget to turn off the lights.
